Spring Photography Sessions in Acton and Surrounding Towns

Although traditionally the bulk of my photo sessions are in the fall, I think that spring is a wonderful time in Acton and the surrounding towns to get pictures of your family. By the end of April, I have found magnolias, lilacs and cherry trees, as well as flowering bulbs like daffodils all in bloom in local parks. These make a beautiful backdrop for family photos. I always encourage my families to bring their dogs and in one case their hedgehog! Here are some pictures from sessions completed in the spring at the Acton Arboretum, Concord Minuteman National Park, and Morrison Farm in Acton.

Many of my spring sessions are done to provide gifts for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. I love to do my sessions in golden hour light and fortunately in the spring that’s not too late in the day as opposed to summer or even early fall. In the spring, golden hour is around 5:30-6:00 pm whereas in the summer it can be at 7pm and later.
